So, Chaka likes Comrie better than Hill, but lets Hill further his development while the same time stunting Comrie's? What team in their right mind would want Raanta until they are satisfied that his injuries are behind him and that he is worth that contract? That could take most of the year.
I can think of several teams that will be interested in a healthy Raanta. Buffalo for one. Carolina another.

Raanta has 1 year after this on his deal. He’s hardly immovable.

Comrie has spent exactly 0 hours with our goalie coach. Let’s let him actually set foot in Arizona before we cry about how we are stunting anyone’s development. This doesn’t have to play out in hours. We have time, contract slots, and salary cap room.

Capfriendly reporting Comrie is finally activated. After Raanta gets some games, I’m thinking we see movement. Kuemper proving himself every game.

He'll go to Tucson. They shipped Kallgren off to Rapid City along with a loaner defenseman. Chayka's in no hurry.

Market for starters is soft, Columbus is probably the only team out there that would be interested in Raanta right now, and they don't have any assets worth trading him early for.

His value is low due to the injury, so you may as well just play him and use him in his intended role, trading one in the summer if it's necessary.

Last thing that is needed is to trade Raanta now. Value has not been really established.
Having 2 potentially good goal tenders is a good thing. One of them will not play well or be hurt, lets keep them both for now. We can make a trade in the off season, lets keep our D/goal tending strength in tact.

Exactly...Hill isn't exactly Raanta at the NHL level. The longer we can keep Raanta healthy and producing the larger his stock rises and we can sell at a premium at the deadline or in the off-season.

Eventually, he will end up in the press box here in Phoenix. All he will be doing is practice with the big boys.
We know nothing. There might be a team waiting to put a claim in on him and his Agent might know it. Practising at home might also be preferred to riding the bus. OR he might welcome the chance to play?? We know nothing.

If we get Raanta health,I wonder what Toronto would give up for Kuemper. Anderson's getting shelled like a walnut.
