This. Team Canada's coaching staff isn't the all-star coaching selection. They have less than a month to implement a system with the talent they have so why would they pick four coaches who have a vastly different style of play? Firstly, it's a GIVEN that Babcock will be the head coach barring him not wanting the job. It's arguable, but he is the best coach for getting the most out of star players. With him as the HC, I fully expect him to go with guys he is comfortable with. That'll be Hitchcock and Maclean.
