Could Kyle Platzer be a surprise Gem?

Just at a quick glance Versteeg would fit that bill

Versteeg had such a stranger junior career. Can't recall him very well though.

Going from 36 points in 57 games as a 19/20 to 72 points as a rookie AHL'er.

I mean, his career high in the NHL is higher than his career in the WHL. How often does that happen?

didn't like the Platzer pick at the time, and i'm still so-so about it. seems to me you could put Marco Roy and Jackson Houck together with him and maybe if we are lucky one of them will end up playing for the Oilers down the road?

Pretty much how I see it as well, but that's fine. Every team has those types of prospects.
