Man, how did they lose Connolly in coverage so quickly after he almost put one home?
How did Connolly not score there? He has only 16.5 games left to pad up his stats.
Ehh, the first pass was a little out of his reach. Don't really blame Connolly on that one. Wish he had managed to put away the second shot, though.
Besides playing lights out on offense, I think that he is playing pretty good D as well.
Oshie needs some Wilson lessons
I'm thinking we should try using Stephenson on defensive zone faceoffs. I think he is our best guy in the dot.
Caps defense needs to tighten up.
We owe holtby a good third, is is saving us here in the second
I have always liked Oshie, even as a Blue, but man as a Cap I love him. Guy has no fear and will do anything to get the puck or make a play for his teammate.
Every D in the NHL needs to tighten up right now.
Ya that wasnt a good period. Holtby played well other than getting caught out of position on the goal.
Why do Swedes eat that?
General rule of thumb: The colder the weather, the crappier the food. It's harder to grow good food in cold weather, so cultures build a taste for whatever is available to them. In the case of the Nordic countries, that's pickled fish.
New Nordic Cuisine is top tier though.
Djoos sold that call? Whatever...
Caps PP doing work. That backdoor pass is there all day
Kuzy returns the favor to 19
How do you seriously lose a guy camped out on the goal crease? Vegas' defensive attention to detail is seriously lacking tonight.
I get that Holden was trying to take away the angle by playing at the top of the crease, but that's just daring Kuznetsov to beat him on the pass. And Kuzy is more than capable of threading that pass.
Another reason why up-tempo play is good -- more PP chances for Ovi & the Wizards
Is there any chance our PP becomes too good ?
Good enough to the point where referees give us less PPs because their internal fairness meter goes off whenever they give us a PP.
Sloppy play after scoring ... reminiscent of Caps teams of 3-4 (?) years ago.
The **** was that?
