So with Ganger's roumored assignment to the Marlies it got me thinking, Leaf management is going to get a good look at him, if Gagner performs could it lead to a trade to the Leafs?

Now clearly Toronto wouldn't to him at his full cap hit but if Vancouver retained salary could a deal be made?

Surely Gagner could play above Leivo for example, Leivo won't be a Leaf once Nylander signs anyway
