He's got Rick Dipietro's hips. Don't see him coming back to any respectable level from that.

If Schneider wasn't 32 with another 3 years left on a $6M contract I would suggest a Mike Smith - Cory Scheider swap.
It certainly would be a risky move on Calgary's part.

Dude looked like a legend in the making in Vancouver. Wtf happened?
He was great for a few years on New Jersey than got injuries. I wish he went to a proper playoff team instead of NJ so he couldve at least had a few series wins and NJ could have properly rebuilt. Now they both suck.

Actually, the OP isn't technically correct. Schneider got the win in the 1st round against Tampa Bay last year, in game 3 of round 1. He has lost 21 straight regular season games, but he hasn't technically lost 21 straight games.

What's really weird is that he fell off so abruptly. He was 17-6-4 with a .923 save% in the first 27 games last year, but then went 0-10-2 with a .863 save% to end last year and is 0-6-2 with a .868 save% this year.

This is wrong as playoff stats do not count towards career numbers

.....what? The OP says Schneider lost 21 straight starts. He won a game when he started against the Lightning in the playoffs. That has nothing to do with whether playoff stats "count toward career numbers"

Playoff stats don't count towards regular season stats, but that's obvious.

You gotta feel for him. Thats harsh. I was so mad when Schneider was traded, but the trade looks great now. Hopefully Schneider turns things around.
