Even if asymptomatic transmission is rare (which sounds like was an overreaction?), the initial report didn't address whether it covered people who were pre-symptomatic or people with unusual mild symptoms that they may not have linked to COVID-19.
I'd love to hear that this was all an overreaction and we can all get back to normal if we just avoid people who are sweating, white in the face, and coughing up a storm - but no evidence indicates that's the case.
