Well his trade value just went through the freaking roof. He'll be the starter in Manitoba this year.

it would go up, IF he plays well as a starter......and it would go through the roof when he proves his game with a few games in the show.

hardest step for a goalie is amateur to pro, not ahl to nhl imo, so until he takes that step and succeeds, his trade value will not go up that much

You don't really understand what I was implying. His trade value went up simply on the basis of him committing to a contract. Assuming he didn't sign, and went back to BC for his senior year, the consensus was he would most likely walk as a rookie UFA due to a clause in the CBA. By signing him the Canucks have created a more concrete asset, that did not exist prior.

Good signing but I dont think he will be making many starts until Luongo is out of there. Im thinking maybe they should use him as trade bait?
