My thoughts on perry can be described as such:
When he's on the other team you love to hate him.
When he's on your team you hate to love him.

He plays a bit dirty and doesn't really back it up, but he's good in front of the net and shows up in the playoffs. It's also under the value you can put in the AHL without cap penalty. Good signing.

I'm a little bit afraid that we're getting too slow. We've had a great mix of speed and toughness in the last two years, and I think we might be losing that balance a bit much now. I can't imagine how slow a line with Perry and Maroon would be. I kind of want to alternate their game nights.

f*** it, at this point I want to see a 4th line of:

Big Rig - Jumbo Joe - Worm

I don't think speed is as big of a concern for the fourth line with the short and grindy shifts.

I am still on Viagra thinking about PP2 with Maroon on the left post, Perry on the right, and Colton-Palat-Serge outside firing away.

Screw conventional thinking.

I just mean in general. All four guys we lost had above average speed, minimum.

But as much as speed won't be a huge factor on the fourth line for attacking, it can be a big deal for defending. We ate a lot of slow lines up in the playoffs.

Maybe I am overestimating the speed of our young replacement players, since I don't see a huge step down other than Perry, and I think as long as you have the speedy center Bellemare on that line you can hide deficiency on the wings.

I do see it being an issue if they get stuck out there on the long line changes in the second, but I would not be shocked that both Maroon and Perry are together as something Cooper wants to feature. Will be fun to see what Cooper has in mind at training camp, I expect a lot of line shuffling in an attempt to remake the third line.

Perry is known to be a pretty superstitious guy and came to one of the most superstitious teams! He and Hedman will have a field day of pre-game rituals
