makes me think of battle royale, but more insane. did you enjoy it?

also, i'm going to japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, whatever else in between) in october in a small group of 4 people (so this should whet my interest) - has anyone been/have any recommendations?

It was definitely intriguing.

For some positive Star Wars news, The Clone Wars is coming back for one more season. 12 episodes will air on Disney's streaming service. It'll be nice to see them close out the series properly. And the Mouse will get even more of my money in the process.

So I was late to the game with a few shows. Parks and Rec I got to binge and never saw an episode and loved it.

Currently watching The Office and I’ve never watched. I’m at like episode 11 of season 2 and I see why it had such a huge following. Love this show and so excited to have so many seasons to watch.

Streaming services are both amazing and terrible for catching up on old shows. I inevitably get sucked into watching multiple seasons of shows I liked again all the damn time. I was re-watching Deadwood, which then led to watching Justified again. I listen to a podcast that went back and covered season 3 of GOT, so of course I ended up watching seasons 3-7 again. I have a few more recent shows to catch up on, but keep getting sidetracked with old stuff.

 that sounds like me with my backlog of shows but somehow I end up watching Infinity Wars for the 20th time.

This thread has been dead a while, so let us take a moment to appreciate 1. how far the illustration quality has come from the early days of Tower of God until now and 2. realize the waifu potential of Yuri Jahad:

On Friday, I watched some of Norm MacDonald's show on Netflix. It's pretty bad. It's 30 straight minutes of Norm shooting the **** with various guests. I'm sure there are funny moments, but it badly needs editing. And the background is so bad it's distracting.

I also watched some of Disenchanted. It's OK, but not even close to the level of classic Simpsons or Futurama. A serialized format clearly isn't Matt Groening's forte. In general, I'm not a fan of comedy shows going for serialized formats over episodic ones.

Yeah I tried disenchanted... And it was really really bad. Episodic would have been much better for sure.

I watched it all but i had a very difficult time seeing the King and hearing Bender.

Btw, the new Netflix animated show the Dragon Prince was very good.

Also, Better Call Saul may be the best show on tv. Never thought I would say that.

My latest Netflix obsession is "A Very Secret Service". It's French, with English subtitles. It's a goofy comedy-drama set in the Cold War about the French Secret Service. Well worth the watch.

For me on Netflix it's American Vandal. That show is hilarious.

As for Norm MacDonald's show... I was laughing a lot with the David Spade episode... but every other one was boring.
