Very happy with him in Ottawa. He was the sweetener for us to get rid of the worst D man in hockey in exchange for Zaitsev who has been a rare bright light beyond Chabot on the back end this year. What a trade that was.

One season of Ceci or 5 years of Zaitsev? Really tough choice for Toronto there...

Brown > Vesey or Galchenyuk

sure. but there is a thig called a salary cap and thats why the leafs traded brown in the 1st place. He was bouncing between lines 3 and 4 and they wouldnt have been able to give him the 3.6 he wanted

Aurora, On.
We have some holes in our line up that Connor Brown does not fill.

So why are we spending assets to upgrade something that doesn't need upgrading?

Nope. Pass.

(love CB though)

No reunion is necessary. He'd be buried in Toronto, like he was before and put up lackluster production. If they want someone to play 3rd or 4th line minutes that can jump into the top-6 I'd target a guy like Blake Coleman or Barclay Goodrow.

Sorry Ottawa... NO takesies backsies
He had his chance and didnt click with anyone
Ottawa doesnt want to get rid of him. What a ridiculous notion.

Maybe, but I doubt the Sens would accept either or both for Brown.
Definitely not maybe. Obviously they arent trading Brown for those two plugs. They literally just gave away Galchenyuk.

Thats not what happened.

Oh boy that would be bad for Toronto
Yah an elite 3rd liner that would mesh into Leafs lineup instantly and is better than most if not all in your bottom six, plus a talented center prospect that needs a fresh start. For a 4-5 dman that is 29 in age and a D prospect that has potential like Logan Brown but hasn't cracked the lineup for the Leafs

It's pretty even IMO.

Sure... and Ottawa eats 50% of Brown's cap to even make it work cap wise. Then Leafs have no depth on the Right side of the D, and don't actually even have guys to play... somehow having Connor Brown in the Leafs lineup, makes up for having Bogosian as our second pairing RD... and who is on the third pairing? Marincin?

Plus, if the Leafs are adding any depth, they better come with some physicality, and size... I loved Connor Brown, wish him all the best, but he absolutely isn't a need, or even a want on the Leafs, much less to completely gut our Right Side defensive depth... not to mention your original proposal completely ignores the Cap... it's just very poorly thought out all around.

If you are looking to move Logan Brown happy to send Barabanov or Vesey, or a 3rd round pick.

In what world is Connor Brown a viable replacement for Nylander? Lmao.

Not to mention, trading a top six winger in Nylander at a loss when the team is still first in the league is such a dumb idea.
Never said Brown was viable replacement but you read it as you read it.
