These stats are from 2017-2018 season.

Subtracted expected individual goals from realized season goals to see who got scoring chances and how they managed to score from them. The expected goals take into account shot quality from shot type, distance, angle, rebounds etc.

For example, it turns out Tuch had some of the highest expected goals with 1.07 goals/60 mins, but only had 0.76 goals/60min. In short this means Tuch has problems scoring with his shots, even more than Hyka (who had a sad 6,67 Sh%).

This is just for speculation, I hope I'm not the only one interested in stats like this.

You should turn this into a stats thread, and mods could sticky it. Now that we have a season under our belts, it could be fun to share more of this kind of stuff. Look slike we could stand to improve in the shootout:

Shootout Stats: 2017-18

Subban: 13 SA, 13 SV = 100%
Fleury: 13 SA, 9 SV = 69.2%
Legace: 3 SA, 2 SV = 66.7%

Theodore: 1 SA, 1 G = 100%
R. Smith: 3 SA, 2 G = 66.7%
Haula: 4 SA, 1 G = 25.0%
Tuch: 5 SA, 1 G = 20.0%
*Perron: 5 SA, 1 G = 20.0%
Marchessault: 4 SA, 0 G = 0%
*Neal: 3 SA, 0 G = 0%
Karlsson: 3 SA, 0 G = 0%
Pirri: 1 SA, 0 G = 0%

Pacioretty (Career): 34 SA, 8 G = 23.5%
Stastny (Career): 5 SA, 0 G = 0%
