Orr had to change his game after his concussion and benchings from Wilson. He improved his skating and lost some weight. I like having him on the team.

He's never a liability on the ice....Big and tough...great 4th line NHL player.

    He's a good 4th liner for sure

takes stupid penalties, gives up the puck a lot... what game are you guys watching? I would rather Broll or brodie... may not be as tough but they can fight, play a better two way game and play smart.

    This is accurate.

However; as an enforcer he is not a bad 4th liner.

People will point to his penalty last night as a reason to keep him out of the lineup, but that was a weak/reputation call.

He brings an element to the team that is needed, especially in the tough Eastern Conference.

As long as his minutes are limited (5-7 per game) than I hope they keep him in the lineup for the full 82 game schedule.

Rather have McLaren, he's got a little more offense to his game. Colton Orr, as much as I'm a fan of him as a person, and his comeback, is a big gaping black hole on offence, and his play does add a stutter to our puck control, whenever he's on the ice.

He can't clear a puck for the life of him, can't pass, can barely take a pass.... and doesn't have the hockey IQ to be in front of the net at the right place or time either. Also noones fighting him right now!

I'm hoping Devane ups his effort or interest level, because he's got all the tools, but just doesn't seem to be exerting himself.

Just to clarify, I like him on the roster when he's fighting, but when he's not (every game since game 1), he's a burden.

Turned the puck over which ended up being the game winner against Colorado, could of easily dumped it in instead. Saturday, takes a lame holding penalty, leads to another bs penalty to JVR which gives Edmonton a goal...
I cringe whenever hes on the ice and has the puck. Everytime he touches the puck he just throws it somewhere without looking.

How mad he made Rosehill was simply priceless, no matter what he does the rest of the year that will be his stand out moment in my eyes. Even more satisfying after learning of Fraser's injury and how much we've missed him.

He shut Chara down in the playoffs, only reason we even made it to 7 games.

In Edmonton game Orr hammered Hall an thats another reason he is here as well as giving courage to kadri Kessel etc etc

Please lets not have the peaceniks here take us back to RW and his distorted view of the world..

And by the way Orr hammered Chara in the playoffs and had him off his game and it made a big difference...

Yeah he's a good enforcer and character guy but I don't like how he's pretty much given an automatic spot in the line-up, our 4th line and by extension the whole team would be improved if we gave McClement some actual wingers to play with.

I thought he made a heck of a defensive play in the..third (I think) yesterday. I'm perfectly fine with him on the 4th line.

McLaren, Bodie, broll provide much more then Colton Orr.

He's too slow, can't handle the puck, and provides little other than the occasional big hit.

I like the guy but we can do better on the 4th line.

Truth. We could have a 4th line that could actually do something.

Orr quietly had a really good game last night when he played. And that time he was on the second line by the end of the game vs. Ottawa

This is starting to sound like the chatter when Ron Wilson was here..."we do not need useless enforcers on the 4th line" we have "steckle & someother stiff ect etc"

We have people that can skate 10 times better than orr and handle the puck 10 times better than him, and can also fight.

Devane, Mclaren, Bodie, Broll to a certain extent.

Like people have said, he hasnt even been fighting. All those mentioned above look better on the ice than Orr.

I like Orr, don't like him when he plays with Kadri or more than 6mins a game tho.

Broll is not a heavyweight and neither is Bodie. In fact Bodie doesn't look like a good fighter at all. McLaren is a great fighter but he is not leaps and bounds better than Orr. Devane would be with the team if Carlyle felt comfortable with him in the line up.
