800k for 1 year, then RFA. Solid coin flip, could become a 12-15 goal 3rd line wing.

Don't know how/why we didn't move him for a late pick a la Carrick etc but oh well, a victim of winger depth in Winnipeg. Hope he gets actual playing time in Denver.

Awesome. Definitely nice to add depth and fits well on the fourth line. Can play him or Nieto depending on who shows more. Kamenev can get more time to develop after losing out on last season.

Surprised no team would give a late round pick to make sure they got him instead of rolling the waiver wire dice?

Good luck to Dana he was never gonna get a shot in the Peg

Very nice move for Colorado. As mentioned, they have the high end Forwards, but very little depth after that. I dont think Dano will ever be an idea top 6 forward. However, he could be molded into a good 3rd/4th line forward.

Avs looking much deeper at F now:
Landeskog - MacKinnon - Rantanen
Compher - Kerfoot - Wilson
Jost - Soderberg - Calvert
Nieto - Kamenev - Dano
G.Bourque

I think that 4th line could be decent actually. Nice thing about Dano is that he can play all 3 forward positions I think...but probably better on the wing.

I'm happy for Dano. He deserved a better chance to play in the league, Jets are just too stacked.

There are some guys in the bottom of the lineup that could use more competition. Couldn’t hurt. But I never get too optimistic about waiver pickups at least half the league passed on.
