White is going to play RW and take face offs on his side. Really help the top 6 depth after Batherson he’d be the next best RW.

Center depth isnt great, but still have to integrate Brown and Norris

I don’t know. I still think White is our best option at centre right now and will continue to play there.

Duclair Brown White

Put I think Brown is starting in Belleville.

Tierney will probably ask for more than we're willing to pay and I can easily see Anisimov getting traded down the line.

Fair point about Tierney, although if the team moves JGP I could see them keeping Tierney around.

As long as Melnyk is here I think Anisimov makes too much sense to keep around. Not like the guy has any value at that cap hit anyways, so I think we're "stuck" with him (similar to Boedker in a way).

Again. The analogy was originally wrong. An incorrect analogy cannot prove anything, because it does not correspond to reality. It is elementary.
P.S. How many times do I need to repeat the same thing?
A lot, because it never had much to do with your original statement being corrected and was only being used to try to help you understand.

My guess is Anisimov gets flipped at the deadline. Big veteran center with Cup rings are always in demand

Anisimov doesn't have a cup ring. He also has a 4.5 million cap hit next season, which would be prohibitive for any playoff contender.

The soonest we could realistically flip him is the 2021 deadline, and even then, Anisimov isn't viewed as the type of guy most playoff teams want to add.

Maybe if he rediscovers a scoring touch here, but nobody is giving up value for a 35 point "offensive" center, even at the deadline.

I'd counter and say that if he was "in demand" he wouldn't have been moved straight across for Smith.

2 deadlines from now as an expiring asset? Sure, that checks out.

If White signs for a year and can crack 20 .. he's be in line for something similar.

Is this a serious question?

I like a player that was included in the trade but felt the return should have been better overall. If edmonton trades McDavid for Dahlin, I can love Dahlin as a player and prospect while still feeling Edmonton got ripped off.

Is that a serious response?

That's a ridiculous comparison

As many times as you won't, but it won't change the fact you're wrong.

McDavid is to Stone what Brannstrom is to Dahlin. It was an exaggeration, but one used to prove a point.

The extent of the exaggeration kinda makes the point being proven a bit ridiculous imo

Yeah somewhere in between is where Colin belongs for now,but if he breaks out... I expect him to become a locker room cancer and to be traded

What exactly do you think the point being proven was?

The point was never to make an analogue of the Stone trade, so no it's not a ridiculous comparison because I wasn't comparing anything. The point that had been missed which prompted me to use that analogy was I can like a player returned in a trade while not liking the trade. The extent of the exaggeration is how the point is made clear, had I used a hypothetical trade where a rational person (or even an irrational one for that matter) might potentially like trade for either side, it could have just led to more confusion.

Can White be offer sheeted?

1yr 4.0 with as much bonus as possible

2nd round pick comp... Melnyk would take the pick for sure.

Can I ask why he can’t but Aho and Marner can?
Yes you may,

Essentially if you signed a contract when you are 18 or 19 which White did .. You need at least 10 games in the NHL for it to be considered professional experience

White signed in 2016-17 when he was 19 but did not play 10 games
2017-18 is one professional season
2018-19 is one professional season

Players signing at the age of 18-21 need 3 professional seasons to qualify as an RFA .

Both Aho and Marner have played pro for 3 years.
