At this point that’s just such an ignorant statement. I think there’s merit in saying that there’s a massive overreaction, but it is what it is. I can respect how responsible organizations are being about mitigating large crowds, but at a certain point life goes on and this virus will be unavoidable.
On a personal note, I had a job interview that got postponed indefinitely because of this which really sucks. Guess I have to just wait it out at my current gig.
I hope it isn't postponed long. The timing is terrible.
I'm in a similar position, but a little further along. I was offered the position pending background check.

Yeah it’s unfortunate, but that’s just how things go. I’m not expecting it to be rescheduled until April at the earliest. It’s with a bank that’s being super cautious about the virus. However, I’m able to WFH everyday with my current company, so it’s not all that bad, minus there being no more sports to watch anymore.

Main boards are better avoided or, at least, not taken seriously. It's kind of like that cartoon where the guy is fuming mad, furiously typing at his computer screen while his wife/gf looks on with concern and in the other frame there's someone laughing and drinking Mountain Dew. When you get an infraction there, whether it's justified or not, chances are you let yourself get sucked into something like what the cartoon shows. Life's too short for this.

Speaking of the vidya games, anyone got any recommendations for OSX or Switch RPGs (don't have a PC or anything else)? I've got Witcher 1 and 2 to work through, plus classics like Planescape: Torment, but I'm probably going to blow through those this week and I'll need something else to tide me over.

Switch has quite a few. The ones I have played are
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is really good, though the combat takes some getting used to. More action RPG gameplay, almost in to MMO style a bit.
- Fire Emblem Three Houses is great if you like tactics type battles.
- Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a solid standard JRPG. No real exploring, super simple story, not terribly long, but a good turn based combat system.
-Valkyria Chronicles 4 is a different kind of tactics RPG, but I liked it a lot.
- Octopath Traveler is a solid old school JRPG style turn based game. Plays like the SNES era final fantasies. The idea of 8 smaller stories is cool, but I wish it came together into something bigger. Still solid.
- Dragon Quest XI is just a great JRPG.
- Pillars of Eternity is a good one on PC that has been ported to Switch. Really solid game made to play like games like Baldur's gate and other real time w/ pause D&D RPG's. I haven't played it for switch, but it's on there. I know it was horrible for bugs when it released, but I'd have to think it has been updated since. I'd research that before getting it though.
- Divinity Original Sin 2 is another D&D style game, though this one is turned based.
There's also some older games like a bunch of the final fantasy games, the world ends with you, etc. And some indy games like Undertale and Darkest Dungeon that I've heard are good.

Oh man. I have the bolded and just couldn't bring myself to finish them. PoE was so buggy on the Switch that it was damn near unplayable for me, so maybe they patched it. Xenoblade I just never jived with, even though I put like 60 hours into it, I just don't care enough about about the story to pick it up.
I've been debating getting Switcher and Fire Emblem, but they're pricey.

yeah I can certainly understand not getting in to XC2. I loved it, but I can see why others wouldn't. And yeah I don't know for sure about PoE. I would hope it got patched, but I don't actually know.

Maybe it didn't help that I got BotW right after I hit some wall in the 3rd act of XC2, and that was just so much more fun to play.
I think maybe I've aged out of JRPGs, despite growing up with Earthbound, Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross, FF VI, and so on. I've got the FF IX remake and while I love that game so much from my childhood, but it feels more like playing an interactive novel than an RPG these days.

I have trouble really sticking with games in general these days. It really needs to grab me. I think a lot of it is just timing and being in the right mood. I just don't always feel like playing games these days.
