This is the best SNL skit I think I've seen in a long time. It really touches down on the absurdity of some of these Christmas commercials that I've seen. Making any sort of major decision, like buying a car, adopting a pet or proposing, shouldn't be a surprise. But so many commercials and movies push this idea that it should be a surprise, and it's awful. The one Kia ad I keep seeing on tv irks me, some woman buys a Kia, then she comes back and buys another one. Like buying a vehicle during a pandemic not once, but twice, is the message to send people.

"Hey, you struggling wankers, f*** off with your savings and stuff, waste money on not one, but two rides you don't need!"

YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH.

Episodes 1-3 may be poorly constructed with cringe moments, but the overall story enhances the original 3 and the stories that follow in Clone Wars and Rebels as well as Rogue One are enhanced by it, not to mention Mandalorian is also directly influenced by that story arc and the future slate of shows like the Obi-Wanker series. Are they cringey? yeah mate, big time. But they also show Anakin being an awkward person growing up being a Jedi, you see how weird it is to grow up within that, how he was manipulated by both sides and the whole time, all he wants is to belong and have a sense of family. It may shock people to hear this but Episode 1-3 has just as many cringey af moments as Episode 4-6.

So far I like it. Considering that I literally have played nothing for around seven years, the game pass is a bargain.

They are mostly trash because of the acting and script of some of the people, but it also introduced a lot and provided a story that humanizes one of the best, most iconic characters, in the entire franchise.

All 7-9 does is rehash the originals, does nothing original, makes a mockery of the first 6, etc.

Imagine a Vader series that starts 5yrs after Episode 3 where he has his Apprentice, if they're making games stuff canon...I. f***ING. WANT. STARKILLER.

I mean...that character was fantastic in the Force Unleashed game.

Then you can roll into 5yrs after that and run into Obi-Wanker.

They had to refresh the originals because the prequels left such an overwhelming taste of gungan shit in people's mouths that they knew they had to give them something to cleanse the palate.

Hate on the new ones all you want. I don't care. Don't elevate those piles of donkey shit in the process... it ain't right. Maybe it's just accurate to say they haven't made a truly good SW movie since the originals. Though I was able to wring some small enjoyment out of the new ones.

At first, I tried too and just didn't pay much attention, so I gave it another go and this time watching the first few episodes again kind of helped. It's a well established world within books and you're jumping right in, it's how diehard the fans are of the books.

You should give it another go.
