I would like to see Cole take some 5 hole or low blocker shots, everything is aimed under the bar and is probably a little predictable at this point. Hellebuyck is a large goalie who stood tall and really took away the top of the net.

I think Cole could victimize Grubauer who is relatively small at 6'1" and would likely leave more room up high for Caufield to snipe. Grubauer would have to cheat and come well out of his crouch to cover the top which would expose the low blocker hole.

Bring on the Avs!!!

Take a look at both Suzuki and Toffoli goals set up by Cole. Look at how the goalie had to hug the short side so that CC could not sneak a shot through. That's what created the space for the goal. That's the respect and threat that his shot is already creating, no matter where he is on the ice.

Haven't watched a player with his vision, skills, and ability on the habs for a long time. Real pleasure, we have a bright future with him on the roster.

The reason CC has not scored as much so far it's because most of the games we've had, the goals have been pretty greasy and he's not that kind of player. That's playoff hockey, to get goals, it's shots out of nowhere, lucky bounces, deviations, blue collar grinding to get the puck in. The best example of this is the goal Gally scored after the Weber breakaway. Just hilarious goal with Gally pretty much sneaking in into the Jets' D out of nowhere.

It's not only that, he's whiffed on a lot of one timers on the PP. He's a goal scorer who hasn't scored in a while and he's probably holding his stick tighter. Once he gets back into his groove he'll get going again.

What a player we have here. It's about time we got a good one. Love this kid's passion, tenacity, and smarts. He's gonna score a lot of big goals for us in the coming years.

This is what happens when you make the right pick. What does the "Habs' problem is development" crowd have to say about this? Is Caufield being rushed like all the first round busts? He's been thrown to the wolves this playoffs, but he's slaying them, unlike all the other bums the Habs drafted in the first round over the years. But they were rushed right? Not developed properly right? Timmins and co finally knocked one out of the park for the first time since 2007. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Only problem is Timmins got it right 2 years out of nearly 20.
A broken clock is right 2/24h. So Timmins is currently beating the old clock!:laugh:
