Any bad one-year deals out there that would make sense for Orpik? Maybe someone like Hagelin if the Pens wanted Orpik back? Avs would likely need to retain in a scenario like that though.

Caps fan here. That's a very nice trade for you, getting a blue chip goaltender for a mere second round pick.
No idea what you're going to do with Orpik, maybe there's a janitors position thats open.
He truly is brutal -- single-handedly cost us the Pittsburgh series in 2017.

Orpik is still better than Wafsofsky and Siemens and we all know EJ won't make it to the POs. I'd rather keep him as our 5/6 and trade him at the deadline if things have gone south.
