Colorado sent backup goalie Pasi Nurminen along with a 4th round pick in the upcomming draft to NYI. In return Colorado got goalie Brent Johnson and defensemen Joe Corvo and Nolan Yonkman.

The management thinks Marc Denis has shown he can carry this team for years to come and Pasi Nurminen clearly wanted to get a real shot at a starter position somewhere else. Add that Philippe Sauve has been outstanding in the farm and should be ready to challenge new-commer Brent Johnson for the backup spot as early as next camp.

Joe Corvo and Nolan Yonkman add to an already strong group of young defensemen, and will join fellow rookies Komisarek and Morrisonn in trying to earn a spot on the pro roster.

To make room for the new-commers, there have been rumours that Hävelid could be playing his last games as an Avalanche. Hävelid is not the only player that could be in the market for a new home soon, as Scott Mellanby, Danny Markov and Bill Houlder are all on the block and Colorado is listening to offers for all 4 players.

As usual, Colorado is looking to get young players or prospects, preferably forwards, in return for these players. All offers shoudl be sent by mail, pm or icq.

Hävelid is gone and Mellanby is very close as well.. I'm taking offers for Markov until monday. After that I will start making decisions if the best offer is good enough, and where he will go...

What the **** have you been smoking?????? Pasi Nurminen is on the Thrashers, and Brent Johnson is on the Coyotes. Philippe Sauve is down to the kinors, they still have Aebischer, and Marc Denis has nothing to do with them.

Did you just make all this up????Or do you think all that is true???Or is this for the 2005 season???

Markov will be gone by deadline, question is who will get him. If you haven't already made your offer, get it in now!

Houlder is also looking for a new home. He can be had for a late pick. If someone is looking for a 7th/backup defensive D for the playoffs, here's your guy. Get your offer in now!
