How come Cody Franson is 15th in the HF top 50? Is it a mistake or what? Selected in 3nd round 2005 by Predz.

Good stats..

Height 6.05 -- Weight 215 (tall but not that big)
2006-07 Vancouver Giants WHL 59 17 34 51

He is a very good skater. Very good passer, will fill out to be a big big boy, already 215 and 6'5". He is strong positionally, doesn't lose many races, can hit and take a hit. QB's a PP.

I guess when looking at him through rose colored glasses, he deserves a top 15 rating.

Maybe because he had 2 good years in a row with Vancouver, 2 nice WJCs with team Canada and he's just a damn good hockey player?:sarcasm:

+ he's 6'-5" 215 Lbs ;)

Ahead of every defenseman except Alzner and even then perhaps above Alzner, maybe top 5 being the top dman selected? Would anyone agree?

During their draft years they would be very comparable but side by side today he is far more advanced then Alzner is. Rightfully so, he is older then Alzner.

Hes good all around and sees the ice extremely well. He passes like a veteran NHLer already and hes quickly learning the fine art of pinching at the right time. If the draft was redone Franson would be a first or for sure high second rounder.
