I get guys liking him. But hard to take their opinion seriously when they pick him to "score every game".

If there are things to like about ceci his ability to be a threat to to score every game is not one of them.

They aren't Sens fans so don't have the 300 game catalogue, they just see his game and like it. Only thing to say about Ceci is he seems to play with a rubber stick sometimes, some of his clearing attempts/passes it looks like his stick is made of rubber, it's bizarre.

Cowen had this thing where when he tried to scoop the puck out of the zone he would never get enough wood on it and it would barely leave the ground like his stick was too short.

The resemblance is STRIKING.

The narrative shall continue

Comparing Cowen to Ceci is way to far fetched. Cowen wanted to do things his way, Ceci has done anything his coaches have asked of him.

Ceci took a smaller contract and hasn't said peep, Cowen went for a huge contract and seemed to have a lot of demands for a player with a lot of promise but not a lot of a track record. Was to bad for Cowen the way injuries took him out, but all the side talk of AHL/NHL, contracts, benchings, his roll seemed to be a huge distraction for him - if Boucher asked Ceci to play net he'd play net and not say anything.

Tough to get a read on Ceci's game last night when the whole team was pretty bad as a whole. Ceci/Phaneuf did get hemmed in their own zone far more often than any other D pair last night, but again, that could be because everyone was so bad.

Phaneuf also seemed to be just looking for the big hit last night multiple times and to his credit he got 2, but that put Ceci in a vulnerable position a few times.

Also, if Ceci could just stop hesitating before taking a shot, maybe the goalie wouldn't have time to set himself for the inevitable shot to his chest.

All in all, Ceci was not the worst d-man on the team last night.
