We've played 20% of our season. This is too little too late but good to see nonetheless. We'll see injuries and Coburn again. Hopefully he can transition into more of a mentor and not have to worry about getting abused on the ice like he did last night.

Thank God. I don’t know the last time I was this happy to see us put someone on waivers(I think only Reilly on waivers can top this feeling).

DJ proves to us that the first 5-7 games were preseason substitutes. It backfired badly due to their performances. But he’s slowly getting back to his ways last year.

Just remove Stepan now off first PP and I’ll be happy once more.

Any chance he gets claimed? We should put some other guys on waivers too. I think at some point we see Logan Brown and Formenton in this lineup.

Thought Reilly was worse but either is fine.

As bad as Reilly is in his own zone at times, he does actually bring something to the table we don't really have, which is a PMD that can play the 2PP. He's also atleast trying out there. Coburn on the other hand brought nothing to the table, and was completely apathetic.

We should be able to replace that role as the year moves on and Brannstrom and Wolanin are in the lineup. Hopefully Reilly can be pushed out down the line and used as purely a PP specialist for the time being.

One of Dorions coveted off season acquisitions .. Better late than never. Seems like a good guy.. not much left in the tank
The deal that acquired him was actually one of Dorion's better moves, cost neutral because we sent out two LTIR contracts, got a 2nd, and two warm bodies that could suit up for games if needed. If he had worked out as a roster player, great, if he ends up as a taxi squad guy, still better than paying Gaborik'7s deductable or Nilsson. Free 2nd.

DJ playing him over other options is another matter.

Pretty sure the 2nd round pick was the coveted acquisition in that trade, and Paquette to a lesser extent. Definitely not Coburn.
He was not a coveted acquisition

I stand corrected .. just an acquisition .. not so coveted lol
