Not really. Just a great play by messi after a terrible turnover by Fabregas.
Even better finish.
Yeah. Always tough when you give up the ball in a part of the field where you aren't expecting it. They recovered poorly. Love when Messi steals the ball like that. Badly underrated as a defender too.
Great run by Suarez on that goal as well
Bad turnover by Fabregas, bad angle on the tackle by Christensen, bad angle on the pursuit by Azpilicueta and a complete lack of seeing Dembele by Kante
Chelsea fans can bitch all they want about Conte but he's allowed them to play with freedom both games. They haven't finished the chances they've had. Also, they've had two terrible turnovers and terrible goaltending on one goal.
I don't necessarily disagree with anything youre saying here. I'm just saying it's unfair to put equal blame when the defense isn't set and is trying to get back after teammate error.
bit of a shame, chels aren't playing poorly, but barca are cold blooded
I wish refs would book more players grabbing the ball before a whistle has been blown.
Not much of a foul there. Wind must be blowing pretty strongly
that's a Pedro level dive by messi there
No, it was not.
So another EPL team down and out. Looks like another sweep in Champions and Europa for Spain this year.
It wasn't a dive, but he did embellish how hurt he was.
that's what I meant
I didn't say it wasn't a foul, because it was
Messi's fastest goal in his career? That can't be true?
A goal before HT would be nice, and then the pressure would be on Barça trying to prevent a second Chelsea goal.
That should have been a goal.
It wasn’t a complete dive. I don’t think he made much contact, but he was rolling around a lot for barely being touched. It’s about right.
He never scores early. I recall reading something about how he uses the first 10-15 minutes to see how he is being marked.
Either Alonso or Kante should've scored there. We could get two back, I'm still hopeful!
I think they clarified fastest CL goal for him.
Still, I find that rather weird.
Yep. He has mentioned that he likes to size up the opposition's defensive scheme at the start of the game until he finds its weakness.
No, it actually was the fastest goal of his career, not just in the CL.
That's a bigger dive.
