It has nothing to with deserving the win. They were calling him an "Interista sack of shit" the entire night, so he trolled them back. Fair play as far as I'm concerned and it's always fun to see someone get an upper hand on the Old Tart.

Benzema is now 4th in the CL scorers list in front of RVN. Only Messi, Raul and Ronaldo have scored more.

Also 200 goals for Real, 7th on all time list.

Also worth noting he didn't shoot penalties (contrary to the other 4) and has plenty of assists.

I'm sorry but you don't get extra points for style in football. All that matters is who scored more goals after 90 minutes. Respect the result!

To put that into context, of the top fifty or so scorers he's also got the 8th most appearances. Also, he's 16th in goals/match ratio. And even though Messi takes penalties, a player who also has plenty of assists, I'd be curious as to how many he actually has in the CL.

Fact is when you compare to some of the other guys on the list and factor in his goals/match ratio, it's not quite as impressive as just 4th all time.

Well yes it is impressive. As I said, the three players above him also have played more CL games IIRC (not sure about Raul tbh).

And again, when you factor the penalties, it's even more impressive.

It is impressive, but not just as impressive as "4th place all time." And while the three players above him also have played more CL matches (Raul included), their respective goals/match ratios are also considerably better in the cases of Messi and Ronaldo and almost the same in the case of Raul. You mentioned RvN as well who has a considerably better ratio.
