He was a very solid #2D for a good period

Erhoff

Bieksa
Hamuis
The 40 games of Sami Salo

The 2009-2012 Canucks were heavy contenders

They lost twice to the hawks and then 2011 the heartbreak in boston and 2012 lost to the cup champs who would not be denied in the Kings

interesting given he is 40 and has not played since 17-18 season. I mean it's not at the top level in Germany either so...

Mario Lemieux missed 3 years.

Gordie Howe missed 17 years.

The Howe one was 27 years and a pure gimmick. The record book can count it but I'd stop there attempting to call him a "current professional player" at that point. Legend status aside.

Hope this means his concussion issues are a distant memory and that he's doing this out of joy than out of financial need.
Guy seems to be still making pretty good buyout money, so unless he picked up some bad investments/habits I think financially his okay.

I mean how much is going to really be making compared to the 850k he's getting for another 4 or 5 years
