Its way too risky to sign a guy to that term coming off that kind of injury. Also, we should have a team policy where no one who's a bottom pairing, 4th line or back up goalie get any more term than one year. That shit is killing us.

One year is great for both team and player.

At this point he's too invested in the drama and wants to see how everything turns out. Sort of the NHL Player equivalent to binge watching Netflix.
