Thanks Cup. Where did you find this? I was looking for it. Any word as to why so many didn't participate?

Bad weather (canceled flights) and missing equipment (arrived only in the afternoon and the skill testing was in the morning) were the reasons for the players flying in from Calgary (and I think Vancouver).

Marshall's numbers are very impressive.

Kane couldn't get a shot over 80 mph though?

That's not his thing. He's about as accurate as can be, though. Can thread the needle through the smallest of holes. It's pretty impressive. His stickhandling and puck control are also top notch.

Well I know he's got the accuracy, but still, he and Cameron were the only two who couldn't crack 80. Maybe he was shooting wristshots?

That would be a pretty strong wrister... Haha. But yeah, I never expect him to have a super hard shot. Probably top out around 80-85 once he gets into pro shape.

Nick Spaling seems to have the best overall success in these skills testings, never really heard about him though, what kind of player is he? He is among the leaders in each category (8th at 60' dash, 4th at 150' dash, 8th hardest shot, 4th fastest skater, 5th in puck-control).

Gillies has impressive speed at 6'4"... He's not too bad in the puck control either (well, better than Gagner and Couture at least...)

If this kid falls enough for the draft, he might end up being a steal. What are the biggest flaws in his game?

Is that he plays a little like Boyd "the void" Devereaux. His offensive skill/sense is lacking, seems to almost panic at times with the puck. Great package for a third line winger as his defensive game, size and speed are all solid. He may be a big jumper on most list depending on how his second half goes.

Yep, he makes Fata and Koltsov look weak

The crazy thing is that would've won the NHL All-Star Game fastest skater contest in some years. It's not far off Mike Gartner and Sergei Fedorov level.
