Chipchura in Top Six

I keep hearing from certain posters that Chipchura is only being played in the top six out of necessity. Is this true?

We have other ppl on the roster that have played center. We have Richardson who is better at pretty much every aspect of the game than Chipchura. Doan, who was a full time C for years, and not ideal, but better suited to an emergency center than Chip in the top six. We have Gordon, who despite his "offensive black hole" reputation still outscores Chipchura PPG. We have people in the A. We have people currently on the roster who have played C at other levels (Domi, Rieder) who could possibly fill in on a temporary basis and look better than Chip.
