Should mean Wingels and Franson can net at least a 3rd
Then maybe a 4th for Bouma?

And then Anisimov probably moves at the draft since his NMC becomes a NTC. Maybe he can net a late 1st round pick? Ryan Reeves was apparently worth that.
To be fair, Ryan Reaves and a 2nd was worth that.

Can we get the obligatory post on what's the percentage of a late 3rd becoming am NHL regular? It's probably like 2-3%.

Now what's the % the Caps don't want to go into the playoffs with 2 rookie dman in their d pairings?

Q completely mis-used him. He carried Seabrook to a positive corsi so take that for what it is worth. Think of an ant carrying the Titanic up Mt Everest for a similar comparison.

So what you're saying is that lobsters could lead to the death of millions of people?

Well Kempny has 81 games played. So he's not much more than a rookie, in the experience department.

Another odd move by Washington. Couple years ago they gave up a 3rd for a plug D from Buffalo that they didnt use, cant remember his name.

Kempny couldnt even play on a crummy chicago team, very surprised he got a 3rd round pick for a 27 yr old.

Gives me hope that Hutton would be able to get the same type of pick if we chose to trade him

The 3rd we gave for Weber ended up being Oskari Laaksonen. Too early to say, but im not too worried we missed something of interest there.

Although Weber was not good either, but that happens. Sometimes the Justin Schultz trade works out better than you could wish for.

Its a late 3rd too.

Pretty great numbers in a bottom pairing role. Not easy to carry Seabrook these days.

If he takes Orpik out of the lineup it's a huge net positive for the Caps.

He should definitely play over Orpik. You guys are going to be very surprised how good he is. He's been, at worst, our 3rd best defender over the last 2 years.

Q's roster management has been atrocious for years, he usually has enough talent to overcome it.

You guys will like Kemp, he skates well, Hits, and has a big shot. Q Made sure he would not grow into a solid # 4-5 by moving him around, benching and scratching him and putting him with Seabs and blaming him for not playing well. His +/- without Seabs.

I think it’s official, the Caps won this trade.

One of, if not, the best, deadline deal we have ever made. How in the world did he slip through the cracks in Chicago?

The Caps would not be in the Conference finals without Kempny.

That goal was epic by Kempny. Shooting at the top shelf and beating Vasilevskiy.

Joel Quenneville refused to play him.
