Makes sense. Hawks have been most cap conscious team over the last 12 years.

So it looked like Tanev was traded, but I knew that the Hawks traded their 7th rounder next year so it couldn't be Tanev involved.

The Hawks are at 44 contracts. I think they'll let him walk.

Played 68 games for the Canucks in 16/17.

Kero has potential to be a solid 4th liner in NHL

He showed signs of being that player in 16-17 but regressed last year at both NHL and AHL level

Change of scenery for him could be just the thing he needs to get his game back on track

Actually with BWC here. I think he could be a good depth player. I think he would benefit from a shift to the wing, personally. He’s got some good speed.

I don't know about good, but certainly serviceable 13th forward. He's kinda decent at everything. Good at nothing. Works hard. Pretty good at deflecting pucks.

Vanilla. Hawks have been very concious about maintaining relationships among players. To me this feels like Kero didn't want to spend another year buried in Rockford so they're giving him a chance to latch on somewhere else.

Not really seeing this as such a big trade some are making it seem to be. Chaput was pretty meh for us and looks like this Kero guy the same for Chicago. Meh in 5 years will probably all forget this trade ever happend

Finally... a center for Utica! Oh wait, we traded a center to get him.

Oh well, if he's got offensive skills, he could probably be a big help to some of the rookie pros they're expecting to play for the Comets next season.
