Kahkonen has looked better during his tenure this season than his streak last season, imo. Even when he was playing welll I though he looked shaky. I’ve been impressed with him. He looks calmer and he’s reading the play better than he did last year. With the way Talbot has played down the stretch, you have to wonder if Kahkonen won’t start to make this closer to 50/50

Appalling that Addison is sitting after the game he had. Hard to justify as a coach to your players. I would imagine that Guerin weighed in on this one. Certainly hope that this situation gets figured out quickly. Benn has no business being out there over Addison.

I'm not sure why he would.

With Spurgeon coming back I'd keep Benn over Addison. Small o-zone d-man replaces small o-zone d-man in the lineup. Benn is a much better option on the PK than Addison. Addison took Spurgeon's PP spot now Spurgeon gets it back.

Spurgeon hasn't played in over a month. Who knows what kind of rust he has or where his conditioning is. Let him get the sheltered/o-zone role instead of Addison while he works his way back into the game.

Jury is still out on whether swapping Addison for Spurgeon is actually a net positive move for the team

$7.575m x 6 gets the spot over the ELC. Net positive doesn't matter.

Happy Hockey Day Minnesota all! Hopefully we can pull of a feat much like last night. Difficult to do that two nights in a row of course, but I am hopeful. That was so much fun! Go Wild!
