THe question can be ask! He's got potential, but Brendl had too!! So what do you think...will it be the next Pavel Bure or Pavel Brendl(Pick 4th overlll in 1999)

Seeing that Cherepanov can actually skate and pass, he's not a Brendl. He might be Bure caliber but he ain't Brendl. Brendl was a lazy ass who thought he could be a star just by going on his talent alone, and didnt put anything into getting better. Cherepanov is committed to be better.

    He's a top 6 forward!
With the potential to score +30goals/season at one point in his NHL career!

He won't be Bure, but I think he'll be pretty good.

So will he be better than say a Semin? Kovalev? or kovalchuk? Or is he a notch below this caliber of player?

From what I've read, he's actually a pretty bad skater.

Still, I have a feeling he'll be good.

He is pretty much the opposite of Kovalchuk..
not even one third of his explosiveness on skates and power, but three times better as for hockey brain and sense.
Whether that will mean a notch below or above, it's yet to be determined :)

  15. So he's a Bure, just the other one (aka Valeri)! :biglaugh:
