I didn’t see the play. Can you explain what happened and how more AHL seasoning will help avoid it in the future? Since, like you said, stick infractions are pretty common so was wondering what happened on this play.
From my seat, I didn’t really see anything that bad about the penalty, other than its timing. It was an unfortunate penalty to take, but the Springfield player would have been in alone on Nedeljkovic had Bean not taken him down.
I was surprised see Bean used so much on the pk last night. I don’t think I’ve noticed him being played there on the games I’ve watched on AHL Live. Bean had nice shorthanded chance on a rush that stood out. He looked to me a lot like Fleury did last year in the AHL playoffs, too good for his current level.
