Everyone is talking about the Flyers chasing Columbus for the lower WC but they won't get them unless CBJ completely implode.

A more realistic scenario would focus on them chasing the Penguins who they at least play 3 more times, with a chance of gaining 6 points alone by taking those remaining games.

I used to have this Olde English wall clock that I demanded from my friend when I saw it in her mom's pre-garage sale pile. I'm not sure if I still have it in a box. So gloriously tacky!

Good clock. Like how it has no numbers and just two dashes where, y'know, "9" and "3" go. I figure that's just for "Suggested start drinking time" and "Suggested go-to-bed time."

Per the O.E. clock above, you can start drinking anytime the hands are between the 12 o'clock and 12 o'clock positions, the horizontal marks are suggested snack breaks between 40's

With both Pittsburgh and Columbus sitting at 63 points, the two columns on the left are looking meaningless. Gonna hafta start gunning for 97 or 98 minimum. But 17-4-6 and 18-4-5 are very doable, as long as you beat the right teams (PIT at least two out of three, Columbus once).

Columbus is going to trade their goalie and best player. Pitt isnt playing well. Im not sure either of them will finish that strong.

Head to head are must wins though.

i know its very improbable that the Flyers make the playoffs. But when Carter Hart is in net, i have a very tough time seeing the Flyers lose hockey games. He is just unbelievable.

It reminds me when Shayne Gostisbehere joined the team in 2015, and the Flyers instantly became way better.

Adding Myers to the back end, and being consistent, could easily put us in that last playoff spot.

Tampa Bay. Were coming for you.

Columbus might trade them, might not. I feel like they might trade one, at most. The Pens with a big loss tonight to keep the gap at 6, but that’s still 6. Monday is huge, both in the standings and as a barometer for this team. Mediocre as the Penguins have played lately, they’re an extremely dangerous team. This 10 game streak has been damn impressive, but the Flyers have played some weak teams and everyone is out of sorts with the long All-Star break.

Plus, it isn’t just those two teams. Buffalo and Carolina are both solid teams with a big 4/5 point leg up (though the Flyers have two games against the Canes to swing that if it’s close). They basically have to significantly outpace 4 other strong teams and hope none of them get equally hot.

So, yeah, Monday is colossal. We’ll really get to see the mettle of this team.

EDIT: aaaaaaaaaaand Vegas not being helpful. Just blew a one goal lead in the last 10 minutes of the third and lost to Columbus.
