Some interesting results from 1st qualifying round - Lithuanian side FK Sūduva beat Apoel 3-1 in their first leg while Latvian side Spartaks Jūrmala managed a 0-0 home draw against Red Star. Trnava-Mostar and Olimpija-Qarabag both had both sides getting red cards, with Trnava and Qarabag taking 1-0 wins. Second legs in a week

APOEL only managed a 1-0 home win tonight so they are already out after making the group stage last year. Pretty big upset. Spartaks were close to an upset as well, lasting 80 minutes in Belgrade but then conceded twice in a couple of minutes. Süduva and Red Star will play eachother in the next round.

Welsh champions TNS almost completed an amazing comeback against Shkendija. Having lost 5-0 in Macedonia last week they won their home game 4-0.

No real surprises elsewhere. Malmö won to set up a clash with Romanian champions Cluj, couple of games still to play tomorrow with Rosenborg having to overturn a 1-0 deficit to Valur from Iceland for a chance to play Celtic.
