Huge win for Neman Grodno, as they win with 4 seconds left in OT, 3-2. Goal was scored on a breakaway that the Zug goalie had stopped. The puck came loose behind him, and he pushed it into his own net.

Aalborg and Zurich tied at 0 with 5 to play in the first period of a big game for both teams.

IFK leading Tychy 1-0 at the end of 2.

TPS Turku and Malmo tied at 1 at the end of 2.

The play-offs should be best of three rather than those silly aggregates of two games.

Yeah, but it copies the UEFA Champions League format.
- they are still trying to figure out what CHL is
I get the point and I agree. I just add that the CHL copied the Euroleague Basketball originally. Later, within a year or two, or so, they changed their mind and wanted to copy the UEFA. Who knows whom they will copy within next few years.

Aalborg almost equalized 7 seconds prior to the end of the game. However, the puck never crossed the line and the refs blew the whistle too early.

Aalborg looked like they had tied it with 7 seconds left, but it was overturned on video review, as the puck didn't cross the line. 2-1 Zurich final score.

Salzburg and Vaxjo tied at 2 in the second period.

Cardiff leading Bern 2-1 , third period just underway.

Bern score two in the third and beat Cardiff 3-2. If Salzburg hang on to beat Vaxjo, Cardiff will be eliminated from the next round.

Bern scored 5 min before the end ... leading 3-2 ...
And again a D takes 2 minutes !!!
Hang the guy high !!
we, fan, cannot live like that ;-(

They still made it. And won by the shortest possible margin. 1 unit.

What a finish in Salzburg. Down 3-2 with 30 seconds to play, Vaxjo tie it up. Then with 17 seconds to play Salzburg score the game winner. 4-3 final.

With the Salzburg win, Cardiff are eliminated, and although mathematically still alive, Vaxjo are in huge trouble. Last year's silver medalists are 6 points back of Salzburg with 2 games to play.

wow what's going on with Vaxjo? Very disappointed with them so far. Their goaltenders cost them the last 3 games. They always come back but then their goaltender lets in a weak ass goal every time!!!

What a flopp, växjö out. Huge disappointment! After last season we lost almost all of our topp FW, including god Elias. What did we do? Cheapened out like we always do so we start with players who will never get any play time later in the season. Good job! This bodes well for the SHL start...yikes

How many matches will it take until we open our wallet this time?

Very strange tournament! Many upsets in a row. Some teams from top leagues not very serious.Good for average and litte hockey countries. ;)!

The IFK - Tychy game wasn't the greatest but the Polish were in great voice particularly when they scored as I was sat behind the glass near the IFK ultras opposite them.

Saw quite a few Ässät shirts at the game which I assume relates to a friendship between IFK and them (made a thread about that a while back on the 'Finland' forum).

What happened in the Frölunda - Vienna game? Read two guys dropped their mitts. Surprised Frölunda lost. They looked good against Zürich.

After today's games, each team will have played four times, with 2 games remaining in the group stage. At this point only two teams, Tychy and Cardiff have been officially eliminated, with Eisbaren being a third if they lose tonight. In every other group all four teams are still mathematically alive, even if their hopes are fading fast. The last two games in October should be pretty awesome.

Early game scores:

Munchen and Yunost tied at 0 in the first.

Djurgarden leading Storhamar 2-1 after 20 minutes

Rouen and Mountfield tied at 0 in the second period.
