Karlsson is 2x better defensively than Rielly is. Not to mention he put up far more points than Rielly, while playing with far worse players. Stupid comparison and backwards logic from two bias fans here.
Karlsson was garbage defensively on a garbage Sens team. Wasn't even comparing them to begin with, boy did this come off as insecure.

2x better eh? I wonder what kind of unbiased thought process got you to come to that conclusion.

Not going to waste my time trying to convince you that Karlsson was better than Rielly. It's like teaching Stevie Wonder how to drive.

It's called watching other teams besides the Leafs.

Oh right, Sens games haven't been worth watching in a long time, so you must have a lot of time to watch other teams play, and therefore, know better than most about what makes a d-man good defensively.

Enjoy the season.

Such an original comeback. You're gonna have a lot of fun watching Karlsson and Hughes tear it up on other teams for years to come.

Do people still not realize how low the chances are that the Sens give up the Hughes pick, even if they finish last?

You didn't answer my question?
Also just looking at basic stats. Rielly faced top 10 hardest minutes last year and had positive possession numbers.

Ceci had bad stats in pretty much evey category bad example.
Similar teams in similar situations right...... Anyways no one is comparing Ceci to Rielly we know Ceci is brutal and atleast some sens fans are capable of evaluating the team we cheer with some humility.

Chabot has more raw talent and skill you can see it if you watch the players. Its like comparing marner to an established forward that was out producing him in his first season. You know Marner has more creativity and skill he just wasnt better yet.

Literally a Sens fan made the comparison to Rielly with ceci since they both play hard minutes. I havent even been comparing Chabot to Rielly, a Sens fan was saying how overrated Rielly is and how's he's a powerplay specialist. I'm a fan of Chabot he has the talent but a long way to go.

My post history shows I'm an incredibly tough and intelligent poster that values eye tests over stupid numbers any day.

Your post history shows you are a casual fan with a weird obsession about the Leafs, you have a penchant to post stupid shit, like that Morgan Rielly is a PP specialist, lol.

If Chabot becomes a high 40-50 point scorer I'd take him regardless of Rielly's offensive ability because Rielly isn't good defensively whatsoever. I'm kind of glad he's going beast mode on offense because it'll mask his poor defensive zone coverage. Great player nonetheless still a #1 Defenseman. Brent Burns is similar in that fashion (albeit way better track record)

Chabot continues to fly under the radar. All I'm going to say is Rielly definitely didn't look this good when he was Chabot's age, and Chabot has much more responsibility than Rielly did too.
Rielly at 21 was the Leafs best d-man when they were going through scorched earth, he's been through exactly what Chabot is dealing with this season. Rielly put up 36 points at 21 on a team who's highest scorer was Kadri with 45 points, that's very impressive

Odd poll. Not very comparable given their ages or their teams.

Chabot is going to have a lot less to work with than Rielly in the years to come, I know that.
