Rinaldo is going to cause a ruckus in the Playoffs if we need him. He was at one point mini Carcillo. Low key good signing.

I could see Rinaldo very easily playing 4RW with the Flames should the Flames move a player higher up in the line-up out. Hathaway 2.0.

Only Calgary would be in the business of signing face punchers like its 2009 again.
And than immediately assigning them to the AHL. Yes we're the only team in the league with tough guys in the AHL, the only team.

The only team that felt like signing Zac Rinaldo, at any rate. :help:

Even if he spends the whole year in the AHL, it begs the question.....why? He's just stealing the roster spot from an actual prospect.

I don't think any high end prospects are going to have their minutes taken away by a tough guy

Nah, it's just funny. Shows how clueless Calgary is and they wonder why they're in a perpetual cycle of sub-mediocrity.

Coming from someone in Ontario... Good luck against Boston this year.

Haha like our fourth line is Mangiapane - Jankowski - Czarnik. Like what are they thinking right? Bunch of goons.

Rinaldo played in 23 games for a 100 point team in the NHL last season.. yet Calgary is clueless for signing him with the intention of playing him in the AHL to protect a very young and inexperienced roster? He can serve a purpose down there.

The ignorance being displayed in this thread is hilarious.

Rinaldo will be a very strange and interesting mentor to Lomberg.

That Stockton forward corps though... yikes. Do we have anyone there that was drafted with one of our own 3rd rounders or higher?

I think Dube might be the only one.

Everyone knows Calgary only needs 4th round picks though

Nah????
LMAO... overreacting for an ahl signing.

They may have issue but this is not one of them

If he was good enough for Nashville last year, he is good enough for the flames minor team

Not bad at all, Haley looks like a great signing :sarcasm:
He's really not THAT bad. I mean, he's not an ECHL player like Tanner Glass.

My problem is that the Rangers didn't get him because they think he can take a shift on the 4th line; they got him because they still think face-punching is a thing in 19-20.
