Community owned club has been under pressure to change name and has picked up in with recent events including NFL Washington changing too.

Sponsors putting pressure on too including local insurance provider BelAir Direct.



Question will it be an immediate change or keep Eskimos until new name chose a al Washington

Positively surprised, the logo gets a lot of things right. Elk would have been a nice name too, but maybe Elks works better with the historical identity.

Big ol' upgrade in my opinion. Name and logo. I love that the logo both looks like a contemporary design while also looking like something that could have existed in the 70s without anyone batting an eye. Maybe the brow wouldn't be so severe, otherwise you could plop this thing into the WHA and it'd have looked great.

It's a bit weird seeing the plural of Elk used this way, but not incorrect. English is weird.

This new Elks identity is a big upgrade over the old Eskimos one! Love the antlers on the helmet.

I'm not a fan of any CFL team at the moment, but maybe now I'll become an Elks fan
