Sure one Norwegian is at norse god level but, if you exclude him, it :)
And i know, City allowed 3 goals vs United, even so..

Manuel Akanji, Swiss international (yes he has played only in 2 EPL and 2 UCL matches)
in my opinion, been the best defender in the EPL this season.

And as such, one of the best signing's, like ever.

In 3 matches where Akanji had played prior to United match
City allowed just 1 goal.

He has been an animal, great tackler, passer, reading the play,
his timing been spot on, closing down, when and when not.

Has really good ball control skill as well, can run with the ball
and carry the ball out of defense, plus make a precise pass
to team mates, no matter of his position, or even if pressured.

And he came to the blue side with a crazy low low price ticket,
just 17.5 million pounds, in todays market.... when a completely
random players costs 40-50 million pounds... crazy.

I mean, Dortmund paid him 22 mill for FC Basel in 2018...

He is already valued twice the amount what was paid of him (by City)
and i bet, guarantee, his value will sky rocket during/after this season.

He was a good signing. He was the best defender at Dortmund his time there, but thats not difficult considering Guerreiro is a midfielder masquerading as a LB, Meunier sucks half the time, Morey and Zagadou were always injured, Schulz is Schulz, and Hummels was Bummels in prior seasons.

He wanted too much money. We weren't willing to give him what he wanted. He wasn't worth it either. To City, money is no obstacle, so everyone wins. They get a good central defender and we get a transfer fee for a player we weren't going to extend.
