Id rather see what we have with Liljegren. I think his upside is higher than Ceci or atleast equivalent.

so, no one will play RHD in OTT this year?

and TOR most likely decline this anyway, coming up they need cost controlled assets which both players that you're asking for are for them

Liljegren, Timothy ($894,166)
Timashov, Dmytro ($693,333)

:leafs

Ceci, Cody ($4,300,000)
I don't think most leaf fans want Ceci specifically. We've seen what our fast forwards do to him. I don't think every RHD will be a fit for us.

Liljegren should be given at minimum 1 more year before the idea of trading him should ever surface. Could wind up to be a regret like Habs giving away Sergachev.

yeah idk ceci with reduced minutes and load could work in toronto but his value isnt a a top prospect and another okay one.
By the same virtue ottawa has to ice a nhl roster right....right??

ottawa has to ice a cheap roster not an nhl one

ceci is now the most expensive dman in ottawa and the last few dmen in that position are no longer here

dude, stop. This is attrocious for the Leafs, Ceci might be used as a top 4D but he is in way over his head. Zaitsev and Hainsey get significantly better results and they're the guys that we're looking to upgrade from, and you're giving away our best non-roster asset at the exact position of need in the process

Apologies from a Sens fan.

Although the way hitting is being eliminated from the game, things may be tilting in Ceci’s favour...

Countered: Stone, Duchene, 2020 1st + 2021 + 1st 2022 1st for Zaitsev+ 7th rounder 2020 + 7th rounder 2021 + 7th roudner 2022

Deal?

Mods ban this thread. I get its ottawa and all offers are usually crapppy but common its not like the leafs have Dorian to fall for this debockery.

Ceci is someone I thought might have worked at some point. Not anymore. He does not play like the Leafs are going to want to play, and it's tough to see how he fits into Babcock's system.

Asking for Liljegren is too much.

So you guys would trade ceci for a moderate return?
For a retained ceci id give a 2nd+3rd and a b+ prospect.

lol we arent retaining with melnyk as the owner

we would probably trade him for lesser magic beans

Sens have retained salary in the past 6 months.

Sens aren't trading Ceci for a 2nd and a 3rd, that's the aspect you should have taken issue with.
