Panarin/Bobrovsky for Huberdeau, Kiselevich, McGinn, Tippett and Reimer confirmed!I'd find that more plausible if it weren't for the fact that this takes us from 48 to 47.

I'd rather keep the pick and draft one.

Penguins were running uncharacteristically short on Germanic surnames after letting Kuhnackl walk, so this deal makes a lot of sense.
Not an expert on Germanic names, but I'd say we already had quite a few. Schultz, Güntzel and Ruhwedel. Maybe Kessel? If you count the north Germanics we have Hörnqvist, Pettersson and Bjugstad too.
We won't lose the pick. He won't play a single minute for the Penguins unless we have serious injuries
Yeah I wasn't aware of the condition at the time. I don't mind the trade now. There's not even a guarantee that it costs us a pick. If he doesn't play 10 NHL games, he's free. If he does play 10 games, he costs us a 7th.

Not being sarcastic when I ask, is there a point to this trade for the Pens? Like, is WBS really in need of defense right now or something?
You know, that's a very good question..What type of defenseman is he? His numbers are crap in the AHL, so clearly he's not going to be an offensive juggernaut.
I'm surprised that there is emotion in this thread.
