I don't think Bergman is long for North America.
It's worse, because the picks will be lower, even if just marginally.
I feel like you're finding things to complain about. We move back a few spots. Big deal.
yeah as cited by A.Herman and others,
he is signed overseas next year

Not that I expect it to happen, but the Rangers can bring him back under the transfer agreement with SHL.
Yep... all that deal meant is that he had no interest in playing in Belleville/Ottawa. Rangers may be able to turn him around, but I wouldn't to expect it.
I guess it's another player for me to follow next season
Frankly, if he does play in Sweden next year, I do not expect him to ever play for the Rangers.

His numbers in Belleville were less than stellar. I am wondering if he signed a deal in the SEL next year to force a trade away from Ottawa
Our Picks have more value than Columbus picks so..... yeah not the same value but if this is the best Gorts could get with an hour to go then so be it.

Having a backbone can also be contagious . I would say that management was very happy with what he brought to the team in his time here . I would bet EVERY guy in our organization was happy having him here especially Skjei . I think he would be a great 7th guy that can give us another40 games and if somebody steps up that needs more ice...easily traded once again to a club that has to face Wilson a few times a year . Not sure what the money would be...I'm biased..but I think he helped us this year .I think the idea was more to bring in a guy to help with the young guys than anything else along with the off chance he could flip him at the deadline.

What Makes a Prospect?
A player will be considered a prospect until he meets the following criteria:
If a prospect is a skater (forward, defenseman) and has played in 65 NHL games or more before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday; or, if a goaltender has played in 45 NHL games before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday, that player will be considered graduated to the NHL. Conversely, if a player completes the season of his 24th birthday without passing those milestones, then that player will no longer be considered a prospect by Hockey’s Future, regardless of the player’s status with his NHL club.
An NCAA player who signs his first contract at or above the age of 22 has three years to meet the above criteria (65/45), while those NCAA players that turn pro under the age of 22 will be subjected to the criteria above.
European players who sign their first NHL contract at or above the age of 22 have three seasons from the time they sign that contract to meet the above criteria. Those European players below the age of 22 that have signed a NHL contract will be subjected to the criteria in section one.
NOTE: These are general guidelines and should be followed the majority of the time but certain players may still be listed as prospects if circumstances warrant.

Bergman was great his final year in J20 SuperElit. He was a good prospect. I just think he wants to go back home rather than play for $70K or whatever on the AHL. I don't think there was an ulterior motive. Guys leave all the time. Especially when they've been here for multiple years and not played a single game.
Unless the Rangers know or believe differently, it's a pointless acquisition. Hartford doesn't even really need help. They're ****ing done.

That's not a positive value.
