But really, it shouldn’t be surprising. He’s a 1st round talent that oozes skill and has an imposing frame. His potential is through the roof.

Elvis looks to be a goalie that thrives in big moments, be it playoffs, or international tournaments. Just look at his playoff and Team Latvia stats. He especially carries his national team. That's a trait that I like.

Based on what I have read, because I haven't seen him play, his combination of size, skating, and skills are the best in our organization, IMO. I might have voted him #1 if I would have had that option.

He's pretty awesome. I'd be nominating him, except I think people are giving up on Carlsson way too quickly.

I agree about Carlsson. But I think his stock has fallen behind Peeke's.

EDIT: Im going to be heated if we as a board pick Foudy over Gavrikov and Merzlikins.

I dont know, I like top 6 potential vs 2nd/3rd pair potential. I like Foudy vs Gavrikov as i see a lot more potential in him offensively but Gavrikov is well ahead of the rest of the D. Its why I like Marcheko. Hes that Bjorkstrand/Abramov swing for the fences pick. Hes still a couple years from NHL consideration but has huge skill and has size vs a lot of our prospects

EDIT: Im going to be heated if we as a board pick Foudy over Gavrikov and Merzlikins.

To be honest, I would only barely hesitate to argue for Tex over Foudy also. If Tex was playing in the OHL, he would, IMO, probably be at least an 80-90 point player.
