Keeping Kane out of a meaningless game like this is nothing but a good thing. Gives him a tiny bit more rest.

Cat deserves it, but Kane not going is a surprise, but based on his play lately I can understand.

Why does Kane need rest?
He woukd get well deserved rest if he produced more like a highly paid star should for this seadon...
But he doesn't deserve rest the wY he has just punched the clock this seadon...
We know he is wY better than this..
If it is injury...shame on thecHawks for pkayong hom at all ...he needscto be completely healthy.
If he is being lazy (needs to hustle more...move faster and dominate shifts and not let himself getcsk easily handled...plus he must be responsible in checking in the neutral abd d-zobes...dkbalk that and he would score more and deserve a rest...right now why rest when you do not even work up a sweat...mailing it inmost shifts...
Looks like he is withing for Pp or phoney 3x3 OT to get his point" a game and declare he has done enough...rTger than win some games by himself with multi-piint excellence.
He fails both the eye testcand the star stTs test by his performance this season.
At tge minimum if not scoring as mich at least put in the work on the checking in defending the d-zobe...not peel asY from check and be caught "watching".
Stop Mailing it in....then he woukd deserve a rest...otherwise he deserves a bag skate abd laps.

Pat Boyle mentioned that Kane continues to deal with an injury and said Kane may have used a back channel to request not being selected.
Boyle did that thing where be made it sound like he was hypothesizing but also emphasized it a few times, so it seems like he knows something but can’t fully report it yet.
