The real question is what team would move a productive center this early in the season for anything? Much less a 3rd pair D + some add-ons.

I think at best the Canes options would be 1) someone woefully underperforming like Cody Eakin or 2) someone highly overpaid like Kyle Turris (Friedman recently said NSH was shopping).

Double edged sword with Haula being so cheap. If he's playing and producing he is a steal. If he's injured there isn't enough LTIR space to even replace him. Canes would have to make multiple moves to bring in a piece like Turris.

What about Pageau? There was some talk about him here a week or two ago. The more I read/hear about him, the more I like the fit.

Seriously. Try calling up a skill guy and seeing what happens rather than calling up plugs like Gibbons or Brown.
