Panthers currently have 1 drafted wide receiver on the active squad and that's Funchess. Everybody else was undrafted. Including your current #2 WR Brent Birsin who has been successfully cut and brought 5 times by the Panthers. It's hard to place the blame on Newton when looking at his receivers.

No, this was the same defense when it was Ginn, Cotchery et al. Regardless of the quality of WR's he is an inaccurate passer with questionable footwork. He thinks his arm strength can compensate for poor fundamentals and his difficulty with reads. It can't.

If there is a good, Mike Shula is fired the second this season is over.

Unfortunately, I don't see Rivera doing that, and considering he just signed an extension, things aren't getting any better anytime soon. The offense just lacks originality and ingenuity. They run too many slow developing plays for the players they have. And the players themselves aren't that great to begin with. It's a shame, but this organization is going to completely squander the prime years of Cam Newton's career.

Cam has been hitting his receivers all day and they're just letting him down with drops. The playcalls are horrible with bad route combinations, no design to get guys open, with most having such a lack of spacing you end up having 4 defenders covering 2 or 3 receivers in a given location, most of the time in the spot where Cam wants to go. This problem is proving critical in the red zone.

Shula has to go. He's consistently terrible. This franchise will forever be held back while he's on staff.

Just to remind you guys. They traded Benjamin, lost their 2017 2nd round pick receiver halfway through the season, and lost their deep thread in Byrd.

Cam Newton has Funchess, a beat up Olsen, rookie McCraffey, and a bunch of practice squad receivers. Aka no one to throw to. Can't get mad at Cam here.

This is disgusting. Gettleman gets rid of 2 of our best WRs and our best DB, and our FB to save a few sheckles. So, in other words, don't add to but subtract from what was once a Superbowl caliber team.

He added nothing. Just un-assed highly paid players, who were paid for a reason for bargain basement scrubs. He should join forces with Rutherford and start some kind of business.

Cam needs an OL that can actually give him a couple of seconds to throw and WRs who don't drop passes. I mean it is unreal that Olsen and McCafferty are the only reliable receivers.

Ugh the Panthers had no cap space to sign Josh Norman anyway and the current moron of a GM in Hurney got rid of Benjamin and Tolbert suuuuuucks right now on the Bills. Nearly everyone on the defense was brought in by Gettleman. Can't wait for the team to fall apart without him while he builds up the Giants. Byrd and Samuel who he brought in were both on IR and Hurney just sat there and didn't sign anyone even though Sheppard is worthless.
