Murray as HC...whaaaat?
Feel bad for the guy but it was deserved
Had to do it. They obviously were waiting for the offseason to do it but things got too bad there it necessitated change
Why did they wait so long?
Bad move, Carlyle great coach.
It finally happened. Good on Murray taking over the mess he created in the first place .
Murray probably won't do much better but I think he likely wants to see what he has in the locker room and to identify who is apart of the solution and who needs to go.
He was just about to turn it around too
Hasn't Bob Murray literally never been a coach?
Is Joel Quenneville still unemployed?
Hahahah Murray is probably thinking "I gotta get down in the trenches and see whats going on with my team", kind of embarrassing.
It appears so. Never been a HC or assistant anywhere.
Seems like a nice guy but he’s a terrible coach. Crazy that he lasted so long.
That said, could be about a 25% chance he ends up in Edmonton.
It doesn't matter. That team is a corpse. They need to rebuild/retool stat.
Oilers have their new coach
I mean Murray created this mess so it makes sense he takes reign of them until a fulltime coach is hired to replace Carlyle.
I don’t know. I don’t think they gave him enough time..
He never should've been brought back. Everyone thought this was terrible (except for one fan). 'I've changed' yeah right. GMBM lost me with that re-hire.
Don't see this season being saved though.
I don't think Anaheim would be competitive in terms of salary.
Wow - GM adding Head Coach to his workload - does that ever work?
