The crazy thing about HIV and STDs in general is that the overwhelming majority of people with either but especially HIV (90+%) are Gay men.

Although some can argue that pregnancy might be more frightening

I think the reported numbers are closer to 70%, but the numbers could be higher as some misrepresent their sexual orientation.

If you read threw all these Price threads, you would know Price has a very serious nicotine and cannabis addiction. You should also know when he’s not cheating on his wife and working threw his divorce, he’s out at the rodeo drinking beers and not at the gym training.

Carey Price? He's the Habs Crosby...but what can we expect from Price this season? Looking at his career stats was his 2017-18 abysmal season predictable? I tend to think so. What to expect from him next year.....I will tell you why!

Price has been either a good season or a terrible season goalie. There's only 1 season of his 11 in NHL where he put up average numbers.

Take a look at his first year in 2007-08? Price went 24-12-3 with a .920 save percentage. Great numbers for a 20 year old rookie. He looked like a future star!

Then came 2008-09 and 2009-10. Both subpar seasons, ending in Price riding the bench while Halak took the Habs to the Stanley Cup semi-finals. Something Price has been able to do only once by the way.

Just when it looked like Halak was the better goalie and there were lenghty debates we may trade Price. Price has a great 2010-2011 season. Played an incredible 78 games with a .923 save percentage and finishing with the underdog Habs coming within a hair in overtime of game 7 of knocking out the Cup winning Bruins. Again, it looked like Price was a great goalie...WRONG!

Along comes 2011-12 and 2012-13, Price's play again falls off. In 2012 the Habs finish third from the bottom resulting in drafting Galchenyuk. In 2013, Price has a very mediocre .905% save percentage. Well below league average.

Stand back for 2013-14, Price comes roaring back. Looks like a different guy. Has a .972 save percentage in the Sochi Olympics. Helps Habs pull off an upset against the Bear in 2014 playoffs. In 2014-15 he continues on. Had a .933% save percentage in 66 games. Wins the Hart and Vezina. This time Price must have it for sure...right?

Again, wrong! In 2015-16, he missed all but 12 games to injury. Over the next two seasons he again has subpar seasons. The worst being last year when he had .900 save percentage in 46 games. Resulting in an even low than when Halak forced him to the bench or the epic 2012 team failure.

What will we see in 2018-19? Will we see the 2008 or 2011 or 2014 Carey Price? In his 11 NHL seasons Carey Price has only had 1 season on NHL average numbers. He has had 4 seasons of terrible numbers. Besides last year's .900 save percentage. In 2009 and 2013, he had a save percentage of .905%. In 2012, his save percentage was .912%. His other 6 years, 1 year he miss all but a few games, the other 5 were good years. In 2008, his rookie season his save percentage was .920%. His best year was 2015 with a .933 save percentage. The other 3 years he was in between those numbers, which are very good numbers.

I predict going by his career history you will see a bounce back year from Carey Price. 2008 a good year, 2009 and '10 not so good. 2011 a good year, 2012 and '13, not so good. 2014 and '15 good numbers, 2017 and '18 not so good. Not only that...this past season was predictable. It followed his career path.

On this board everything is pinned on the Subban trade. Those that try to claim Price's fall off is related to Subban trade? Wrong! Subban was here when Price had 3 terrible years, 2010, 2012, 2013. He was also here he when Price had his 3 best years, 2014, 2015 and 2011. So, having a stud defenseman playing in front of him made zero difference.

It could be possible. But Price is turning 31 and has an history of 8 lower body injuries and 2 concussions. Add to that the worst defense Price had to play with in his career.

I want Price traded and the return is not important for me, you clear 10.5mil for 8 years, that alone is worth it, then with Price you pick top 5 for the next 3+ years and cross your fingers to select a couple of elite players.

This sums it up pretty good, some will argue he was elite every year, but really he wasn't. He was hyped up every year, but his career has been up and down throughout.

He’s the goalie the backbone of course he’s going to have ups and downs due to the teams infront of him

He's the backbone, but his performance depends on the team in front of him? Of course his performance depends on the team in front of him, like all goaltenders, which begs the question, WTF are we using 10.5 million in capspace for the next 8 to get the same thing other teams are getting for far less?

Price stats for 2018/2019

SV% 0.904

GAA 2.96

BOOK IT!!

Yeah but this means nothing.... if the second best has .902 that would make Price no1.

Its all about ranks.

Will he be 40th plus like last year or Top 2 like 4 years ago.

My guess would be he's gonna get injured 8 games in and will never play again 1 game in his life. BOOK IT.

I looked at Prices Vezna season and what intrigued me the most was that he let in 2 or less goals in I think 44 games (or it might be 47) and won 37 (or it might be 34) of those games.

Price is going to have to put up that type of performance again if this team is going to go anywhere this year.

I just don't like the revisionism that is going on now where all of a sudden those first few years we had an amazing team and the best D in the world. When most on this board were saying how horrible the team was and that everything was on Price. Even pointing to the collapse as to show without Price the Habs were a lottery team.

Now all of a sudden Price can't do it on his own, it was PK and Markov carrying him to a Vezna and even if Price plays well the team will be bottom 5. Oh ya not to mention MT's horrible coaching.

So I am curious to which is it, Price was god carrying everyone and take him out and MT would of finished this team at the bottom? Or Price is a product of the team in front of him and we could of put in a number of other top goalies those years and had same/better results?

I am not a fan of our roster now, but I was never a believer that this team was all Price like some. Way too simplistic an analysis and I always thought PK was our MVP.

PK’s a great defenseman but I would imagine from his style of play, he gives his goalies headaches.

Patrick Roy was on french radio the other day just ahead of the QMJHL pre-season. And he said that now that Price is in his 30s, he'll need to adjust the way he plays and trains to maintain a high level of performance.

At some point in the middle they show price working his hand eye coordination with a ball.
He looks like its his first year doing this.
Plus Hes throwing the ball so sloftly.

This is something i used to do when i was 14 years old by my self in my room with a tennis ball almost every day.

It’s beyond me that a professional goalie said to be the best in the world is not a natural at this in his 30’s.

This is the one technique you can practice any where (hotel room, dressing room, home, you name it) that gives real tangible results in a game.

#Nhlfan9191 look at the clip and tell me honestly that this guy is passionate about hockey. Hes working his glove side at 30 years old and he looks like a peewee. is this a joke?

Its like a poutine with out the sauce.

You've misrepresented the facts. Before last year's awful season, Price had four straight excellent seasons. One was his Vezina/Hart season, the other was cut short by injury. Nevertheless, for those four years from 2013/14 through 2016/17 he was the best goalie in the league. By a lot. SV%, GA - name your stat. Price was ahead of the next best by a good margin.

2013/14: .927 SV%
2014/15: .933 SV% (Hart/Vezina)
2015/16: .934 SV% (injured)
2016/17: .923 SV%

You’re being ridiculous. It’s a coordination drill. You won’t find a goalie in the league who doesn’t do this. As far as it “looks like he has no passion or looks like a peewee”, I have no idea where that’s coming from. Is Global not trying to promote excercize to people? There’s a bunch of different ways to do that drill, but showing a way to do it in which normal atheletes or people can do is the whole purpose of the segment.
